Description

Executed by master glassmaker Aldo Boscolo, conceived by designer Marta Rossetto. This work of antithetical title was created to undermine the psyche of the human being in this historical period, the now ingrained sense of litany towards adverse events.

The artist searches for a new sense of self through the movement of glass, ductile and malleable material to 'appearance, but that requires extreme constancy in' learning of its movements and tensions. Like a horse to be tamed, the glass for its master must be initially understood and gently brought towards the sought-after forms, to be finally firmly stopped at the precise point where the idea and the mind of the artist merges with what the glass shows in that precise moment.

The concept locked and chained in this work is part of the mental process sustained by the artist in a 2020 faction, Pandemic, which screams to the community not to stop and freeze like glass in a transitory period of life, but to take what comes from it. To make our own what during a regular year we don't have the chance to fully grasp. Do not be afraid of silences, just because we are not used to them, do not be afraid of loneliness, just because during life we try to find it in every moment. To grasp our silences as a canvas for the evolution of mind and thought; to present loneliness as our best friend because it re-proposes ourselves, a fundamental figure for our development. This psychological and artistic research of 'I in relation to the community, is supported exhaustively a poem by Pablo Nerduda, "Slowly Dies" and hence the title. In it, the poet exposes all that makes humanity dull and all that instead leads us to happiness and common awareness and emotions, the central point of life. They are constantly moving together with the world and the people around us. Perhaps then this pandemic can move our psyche and our emotions leading us to the sincere and realistic sharing of all this. Ranging from language to artisticity repressed in each of us, sweeping away the idea and the appearance created in this last century. No longer just photos, social, and superficiality. Piece no. 1 suspended heart, as our being for a long time, piece no. 2 continuity of the heart that has brought forward a whole and united Veneto and Italy.

Born from the customs and traditions of the place.

From the continuous search for human companionship.

It recalls the great evenings in the furnaces of Murano that became suggestive meeting places for luxury or traditional parties.

Master Aldo Boscolo's shots want to accompany those important evenings, and those refined liquors to a shot that has its own grit.

Sweeping away the banal digestive glasses in order to give a multi-sensorial experience to those who are going to have a digestive.

The line has endless color variations as one of the main traditions was to differentiate the glass in order not to confuse it as the evening goes on.

The technique used is always that of the glass "at the first shot", that is to say, the use only of the technique and of natural forces such as centrifugal force and blowing, no support tools other than a paddle to marbling the glass.

In the line shot sequence is found from the traditional design, with the typical "macce" in Italian stains, up to an innovative and unique design, in which it is blown together with the glass a leaf of silver '925 and finally brought to its oxidation, thus creating an effect cracle.

The measures of the shots vary depending on the strength with which it is made to spin the glass during the opening.

In average the measures are as diameter 3,5 cm
Height 4 / 5 cm
