This chalice was born in a historical juncture devoid of verve, during the first lock down of 2020.

The artist, tarnished by days devoid of stimuli, obliged to stay at home, felt the need to light something to counteract the attitude of nothingness of that period. So he decided to go to the Atelier, to design, plan and execute a glass that could collect good wine to lighten the aperitifs, but this had to succeed in an arduous intent, to make the mind and body relieved during the refreshment.

Hence the choice of the two prevailing colors of the goblet, Yellow and Red. The color yellow has a meaning and a psychology related to vitality, warmth, energy, light and creativity. The word "yellow" comes from the Old English geolu, "geolwe" meaning "yellow". Often described as an optimistic, life-affirming color that reminds us of sunlight and stimulates the mind, body and emotions. It ranks between green and orange in the visible light spectrum. It is evoked by light with a predominant wavelength of about 570-590 nm. In Iran it has connotations of wisdom and connection. In Asian culture it plays an important role, particularly in China, where it is seen as the color of happiness, glory, wisdom, harmony and culture. This is also found in the low density of glass of that color, at the moment of melting, it becomes fluid and tame. It therefore leaves space and time for the artist's mind to bring his ideas back into the work itself. The color Red is symbolic of blood and vital energy both mental and physical. The use of this color helps to fight the passive energies infusing an extraordinary strength both psychic and motor. Combined with the first Chakra, this color symbolizes extroversion and willpower.

Focal point of Aldo Boscolo's project. During processing, the glass rod is initially crackling and at risk of boiling, like the blood in our veins in particular states of mind, just think of anger and one of the many sayings "my blood boils". Once understood and accepted its characteristic, the red wand becomes one of the best friends of the glass masters as it renders unique effects and colors. As in our lives and in our emotional states if understood and respected it leads to great artistic results.

All chalices have a weight of 100 grams or less and a height ranging from 18 cm to 25 cm.
