Granarijs Rosso Piceno DOC - Red Wine 2015



My name Granarijs comes from the antique toponym of Montegranaro, Mons Granarijs, known for the granaries built here by the ancient Romans.

I perfectly match with: roasts, game and red meats in general.


My grapes are
70% Montepulciano and
30% Sangiovese.

I am a wine of great elegance and character, and I require a careful selection in the vineyard:
only the best grapes are hand-picked, no  more  than 2 or 3 per plant, at their perfect ripeness.

My color is a vivid, brilliant red with garnet tints; my perfumes - red fruits, pepper, chocolate - are refined, intense and clean.

The taste is full-bodied, smooth and balanced with a long finish.

My winemaking process.

Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 26-28°C with pumping-over technique, post fermentative maceration for  further 4-5 days.

Maturation: in French Barriques for 14 months.

Aging: in bottle for 6-8 months.

Aging ability: 15-20 years
